Our office uses modern, state-of-the-art technology to enhance patient comfort and to help you get the smile you deserve!
Digital radiography provides Dr. Sexton the ability to view x-ray images on a computer. Screen images can be enhanced and zoomed in, aiding in diagnosing and communicating with patients. Digital radiography reduces radiation by as much as 80 percent.
The LOGICON Caries Detector is a state-of-the-art computer-aided tool that helps locate decay unseen by the human eye. From the digital x-rays, images are highlighted in the possible problem areas signaling Dr. Sexton to take a closer look at the tooth involved. This program was originally designed for the United States Department of Defense for identifying explosive contraband in airport security x-ray systems. It has been adapted for use in dental imaging and thus far has been an invaluable aid to early detection of small cavities that normally would not have been seen until they were much larger. Dr. Sexton's office is the only dental practice using both the Kodak Digital x-rays and the LOGICON computer programs.

To Our Valued Patients
ICON®
The revolutionary treatment of small cavities without drilling! Decay develops from plaque, a sticky film of bacteria, constantly forms on your teeth. When you eat or drink foods containing sugars or starches, the bacteria in plaque produce acids that attack tooth enamel. The stickiness of the plaque keeps these acids in contact with your teeth and after many such attacks, the enamel can break down and a cavity forms.
